I'm assuming he would've been going for the classic rally history of the car (them showing all the old rally footage.) But if you got his logic behind his purchase. 1.) he walked by the clean Z which was at or over his price range because of the shape which was already marked up. 2.) The classic cars in Japan were getting more rare which elevated prices of them for minimal profit (he's trying to flip cars fast for a decent profit to get to his $30K kitty goal, not sit on them for weeks/months.) 3.) With the day and a half he had left in Japan and really the only bargains offered were for unregistered auction cars there his boy Suishi found him that car and won it for around $3-4K. It ended up being a bonsai torpedo and he pretty much lost most of the profit he made in Japan off the first two cars. That being said...that was a sweet Zed and can't wait to see the curtained Bug with hydraulics he'll get in Mey-hico.
